Our Favorite Foods

We’re excited to be bringing more and more food items into the shop! And not just any food items - these aren’t the same kind of thing that you can get at any grocery store. Many of our new food items are small batch and featuring specialty flavors.

These Salted Rosemary Shortbread cookies from Lark are both sweet & savory - perfect with a cup of tea! The same with their Olive Scourtin (French-style olive biscuit) When I was taste-testing these new cookies, I was SO pleasantly surprised because I do love salty & sweet together! (Both of these are Norma’s favorites) When Lark says their cookies are for grown-ups - I totally agree! These are sophisticated and surprisingly fun flavors.

The Mexican Chocolate Cha-chas are lovely also - very chocolatey, with the addition of cinnamon & cayenne. The Mighty Gingers describe themselves as “zesty and warm, packed to the max with ginger.” These are very reminiscent of my favorite gingerbread cookie recipe - love the chewy texture! The Burnt Sugar shortbread caught me a bit off-guard, with its addition of anise seed (spicy licorice flavor), but next time I’ll be ready for it! The texture on these were great as well, a bit chewy in parts from the caramelized sugar. Yum!

Gracie’s favorites are the Coconut Butter cookies! These and the Salted Rosemary Shortbread are currently sold in small packages of 2 cookies each (perfect for gift baskets) but they’re both so delicious that Norma has already ordered bigger boxes of these as well. ;)

We now carry several kinds of flatbread crackers - both the Original and the Salt & Pepper version from Jennifer’s Homemade. We also have Sea Salt or the Everything flatbreads from Brewer’s Crackers. And we have a Honey Graham cracker from Brewer’s as well!

If you like pickled foods, we have peaches, watermelon, honey cinnamon beets and garlic dill pickles from Pickled Pink. These are great additions to salads, sandwiches, relish trays, and special recipes.

We’ve carried Soberdough bread mixes for about a year and a half now. These are sooo easy to make! The hardest part was waiting for it to bake. ;) You can add a can of beer or some club soda, like I did.

A newer line we’ve started carrying is Mimi’s Mountain Mixes. You can make 5 different varieties of bread, from biscuits to molten fudge cake to soft pretzels with these!

Another thing we love around here are these chili olive oils and fruit infused vinegars. I had at least 4 salads (or was it 5?) last week using drizzles of the chili oil and the mango vinegar as my dressing. ;) Super easy and delicious!

We’ve carried these Thai for Two mixes for a few months and my husband and I love them! Our favorites are the Panang Curry and the Pad Thai, but everything we’ve tried has been good! They’re very quick & easy; just add your choice of protein and some veggies and you’re good to go.

We also offer some Tortilla Soup mixes, along with a large variety of dip mixes, from Rabbit Creek. (I tried the guacamole mix the other day and it was yummy!)

We also carry several kinds of gourmet jams & jellies - I haven’t tried all of these yet, but I am fairly obsessed with Back in Black. ;) It’s a Triple Berry Chocolate Infusion, with no added sugar! Just naturally sweetened with the fruit. It is BEYOND, y’all!

We also love having a great variety of fruit spreads, several of them being low in sugar.
